    Description

    A worthy blade for any Roman Soldier or gladiator... or a trophy for their victorius enemy, our TIRO model gladius features a hardwood handle with solid full tang construction (not welded!).  Sword ships unsharpened but will take an edge.  Scabbard is done in brushed vegetable tanned (period proper) leather and brass.  Takes dye extremely well.  Blade is approximately 22 inches and is a Pompeii style.  As is proper on roman swords the edge goes all the way to the handle with no ricasso indicative of later model swords.   Extremely well made and ready for the field.
