    Description

    Unique sword of the Spanish Catholic kings - Isabella Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon. Used in the 15th and 16th centuries.

    The broad blade at the base tapers gradually towards the tip. Decorated with gold engraving on the tableware. Golden crossguard with narrow shoulders and the inscription "Tanto monta, monta tanto" meaning "Balance of opponents" emphasizing the alliance of the Spanish Catholic kings. The shaft is wrapped in red suede and interlaced with a brass wire. Gold pommel with four circles and floral ornaments.
