Chemical-Free
No potassium permanganate, no salt, or any other chemicals are required for operation of the system, it simply backwashes with water.
Removes up to 15 ppm iron.
Iron causes red/orange staining with levels as low as 0.3 ppm. Treats both ferrous (clear water or dissolved) and ferric (red water or oxidized) iron. Both are removed with this system.

Iron
is a common problem in homes today. It causes red staining on fixtures, as well as turning clothes and sometimes even your hair a reddish orange color.
Iron bacteria
is sometimes present in water with iron, creating a slimy build up in standing water (such as your toilet tank) and can smell like rotting vegetation.
Hydrogen Sulphide
(mistakenly called sulfur quite frequently) is easily detected by the presence of a "rotten egg" odor, and is sometimes associated with yellow staining.
Manganese
is most often seen as a black slimy substance that builds in standing water, and may impart a metallic taste to the water.

Controlled by the Fleck 2510SXT control head, this system automatically backwashes. The backwash process uses no chemicals, simply using the force of water to clean the media and flush the contaminates down the drain. Made by Fleck, the #1 manufacturer of control heads in the US, the digital control head provides LCD display and touchpad controls, allowing for simple, user-friendly interation. The 2510 valve also offers dual drive motors, providing dedicated control for piston movement and system timing. This allows for stronger piston control, fewer parts (since there are no connecting gears required) and longer, more reliable operation.

Actual shipping charges are not refundable.  If you receive a damaged shipment, please inspect carefully, Many times the boxes on heavy objects can be damaged but the contents are just fine.
