31-Inch Blade, 37-1/2 Inches Overall, Black Leather Scabbard
"The forerunner of Saxon, Viking, and Norman swords was a true warrior's sword. Although it had a serviceable point, its primary function was that of a cutting weapon. The broad blade could deal a devastating blow to all but the stoutest mail.  This was a time when the sword was a man's best friend, and it went with him everywhere."
"The blade is high carbon steel, hand forged and well-tempered.  The hilt is all metal. The one-piece cast brass grip is secured between a pommel and guard made of alternating layers of steel and brass.  It weighs 3 lbs."
The sword is in the original shipping box and appears to have never been handled or displayed. It remains in as-new condition except for a dent on both sides of the brass tip of the scabbard.
